Conditions for trusted spots

These conditions govern the participation of a shop or another enclosed public place (library, sports or community centre, shopping centre…) as a Shinymeet trusted spot. By sending the application you declare that you have the authority to bind the place and that you accept them.
1. What it involves
A trusted spot offers a visible, accessible place where two Shinymeet users meet to complete a sale or a card swap. If it has staff, it also closes the deal on the platform as completed or cancelled and rates both parties. To stop third parties from going to the place, the public listing shows only the kind of place, the area and a code; the exact name and address are seen only by the buyer and the seller once your trusted spot is assigned to them for a meetup.
Taking part is voluntary, non-exclusive and, for now, free. There is no employment, agency, franchise or partnership relationship between Shinymeet and the place.
2. What you commit to do
- Keep the opening hours of the place up to date on the platform and offer the place during those hours.
- If you have staff who close meetups: mark each meetup as completed or cancelled and rate both parties honestly, from one hour after the agreed time.
- Not charge users for meeting or require them to buy at the place.
- Treat users with respect and not be a party to the deal: not take part in the price, the payment or the custody of the cards.
- Be able to refuse to host a meetup, or ask people to leave, if you consider it necessary for safety.
- Tell Shinymeet (contact@shinymeet.com) about incidents, fraud attempts or dangerous behaviour.
3. Users' data
For each meetup at your place you will see the full name and phone number of both parties, for the sole purpose of organising it and reaching them if there is an incident. You receive them as an independent controller and undertake to: use them only for that, not pass them on, not use them for advertising, not keep them longer than necessary and protect them in line with the GDPR.
The private notes you leave when closing a meetup are seen only by the Shinymeet team. Ratings are shown to users only as stars. Buyers and sellers can also rate the place with stars (0 to 3) after a meetup completed there; only the average and the total are shown, never who gave them.
4. Liability
The place is not responsible for the deals between users or for the condition, authenticity or value of the cards. Neither is Shinymeet. It is, however, responsible for informing the parties and Shinymeet, truthfully and correctly, about the process and its outcome: reporting any incident and closing each meetup with its real result (completed or cancelled). Each place remains responsible for its premises, its legal obligations and any security cameras it has, and we recommend having civil liability insurance.
5. Promotion and reputation
A place may optionally buy promotion services. They never influence the ratings the place gives or anyone's reputation, and are always shown as promotion.
6. Term and leaving
These conditions last while the place is a trusted spot. Either party can end it at any time by writing to contact@shinymeet.com. Shinymeet may remove a place that breaches these conditions or puts users at risk.
7. Governing law
These conditions are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties will first try to resolve it in good faith by writing to contact@shinymeet.com.
